Meet Dr. Casey

Dr. Casey is a board-certified pediatrician and a native of Upstate New York. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, Food, and Agriculture from Cornell University, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO, and she completed her pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. After residency, she started a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at New York Hospital/Cornell Weill Medical College before deciding that her heart was in general pediatrics and coming to Ithaca to practice.

As a doctor of osteopathy, Dr. Casey follows in the footsteps of her great-grandmother, great-grandfather, and two great-uncles who practiced in Binghamton and Endicott. Osteopathy was founded on the belief that our whole being, mind, body, and spirit, is a unit. DOs are trained to look at helping sustain their patients’ wellness rather than just treating disease. Being part of children’s healthcare from the beginning gives us a chance to help them grow up healthy with the tools to be healthy adults.

She is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Hangar Theatre and can’t wait until it’s safe to travel again.
